About

​The Chamber Talent Connection (CTC) Internship Program is a partnership between Valdosta State University and the Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber. The program serves as a liaison between VSU's talented workforce-in-the-making and our local businesses and nonprofits.
 
  • Ultimately, the CTC's main purpose is to:
  • Facilitate in building relationships between the future workforce and our local economy
  • Aid in providing meaningful, mutually beneficial internship opportunities in the community
  • Expose VSU students to the amazing local career opportunities that they may not otherwise be aware of AND
  • Nurture and keep talent in our own backyard to help local businesses and nonprofits remain competitive and successful.

​HOW CAN STUDENTS GET INVOLVED WITH THE CTC?

​If you'd like to be considered for internships in the Valdosta-Lowndes County area, review the requirements below:
You must be a Valdosta State University student who is currently enrolled in or has satisfactorily completed COPS 2000.Complete the CTC Student Profile, and submit it along with your current resume to Kaitlyn Redish by the appropriate deadline below.Understand that internship placement is not guaranteed. Once we review your information, we will notify you about potential internship opportunities (if available) for you to pursue on your own.The deadline for submitting your completed CTC Student Profile and current resume is as follows:​
  • For Fall Semester Internship Consideration: Application materials must be received by June 15
  • For Spring Semester Internship Consideration: Application materials must be received by October 15
  • For Summer Semester Internship Consideration: Application materials must be received by March 15

​HOW CAN YOUR BUSINESS OR NONPROFIT CONNECT WITH STUDENTS IN THE CTC TALENT POOL?

​If you're interested in hosting and working with an intern for an upcoming semester, review the requirements below:
Review the Making Internships Work for Your Business Partner Handbook.Complete the CTC Employer Profile, and submit it along with your current intern job description (if available) to Kaitlyn Redish by the appropriate deadline below.Understand that intern placement is contingent upon the available internship pool for each semester, and intern placement with your organization is not guaranteed. Once we review your intern needs and notify students about potential matches, it is the student's responsibility to follow up with your organization to schedule interviews.The deadline for submitting your completed CTC Employer Profile and current intern job description is as follows:
  • For Fall Semester Intern Consideration: Posting must be received by June 15
  • For Spring Semester Intern Consideration: Posting must be received by October 15
  • For Summer Semester Intern Consideration: Posting must be received by March 15
