by Chamber News on May 8th, 2015

The 6th Annual Chamber Choice Awards went off without a hitch last night at the Rainwater Conference Center and the winners are still celebrating today. Congratulations to those who made their way down the red carpet to be recognized among our county’s top leaders and businesses.
BIG Thinker Award: Quillian Powell, Quillian Powell Construction Company, Inc.

Quillian Powell says that honesty and integrity are the two things that can’t be taken away from you, and he runs his construction company on that premise. Founded in June 1987, and incorporated in August of 1987, Quillian Powell Construction Company, Inc. is full-service licensed contractor in both Georgia and Florida. A leader in the community and a past chairman of the Chamber board, Quillian Powell is committed to making this community better, and is a much deserving recipient of this honor.
Small Business of the Year: Bush Wealth Management
There’s nothing small about the impact that Bush Wealth Management has on this community. The financial services firm established in August 2004 offers a wide range of insurance, estate, and wealth planning strategies, and designs personalized plans for each client. They pride themselves on going beyond the “sale” as they form personal relationships with each client. The also are involved in the community, donating time to projects like Habitat for Humanity, and money to deserving students in their scholarship efforts. This year, the growing company broke ground on their newest location which will open this fall. They are consistently recognized as Best of the City and are truly deserving of this award.
