Chamber Hosts Workshop to Develop Management Skills

The Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber will host the Management Essentials Workshop on Tuesday, Nov. 18 from 8-10:30 a.m. at La Quinta Inn & Suites. The workshop will provide necessary tools and skills to help participants hire, evaluate and retain their greatest company asset, employees. 
 
Hiring the right employees is vital for every business, but retaining those employees is equally important. Business leadership is responsible for not only making hiring decisions, but also for creating a results-driven atmosphere which encourages productivity and success among employees.
 
Sandy Steinman, author and President of Profitability Partners, will share from his nearly 50 years of successful business experience. Steinman will present vital information about hiring the right employees and how to evaluate performance. Cachet Prescott is a small business owner and professional consultant who will share why motivation matters and how to create a culture of motivation. Michael Barr, Office Manager for Kelly Barr-State Farm will talk about methods for resolving conflict. Both Prescott and Barr have more than 10 years of experience with Toastmasters International.
