Jack Kingston Visits Valdosta for Federal Legislative Lunch
by Chamber News on August 28th, 2014

The Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber will partner with the Berrien County Chamber of Commerce, Valdosta Rotary Club, Valdosta North Rotary Club and Nashville-Berrien Rotary Club to host U.S. Representative Jack Kingston at the 2014 Federal Legislative Lunch. The event will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 3 at the Rainwater Conference Center.

Congressman Kingston has served the First Congressional District of Georgia since 1993. His dedication to Moody Air Force base, military families, and the business community have been unwavering. The Lowndes County area has benefitted greatly from Kingston’s devotion and hard work during his time as the district’s representative. After his defeat to David Perdue in the July primaries, his term will conclude on January 3, 2015.

“Jack has served in Congress and represented Lowndes County and our area with strong pro-business positions for many years,” said Carl Holley, Chairman of the Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber Board of Directors. “He established himself as a small business conservative and provided strong leadership in his many years of service. We are grateful for all he has done and accomplished for Valdosta and Lowndes County.”

As the keynote speaker, Kingston will provide an overview of current issues and discuss what to expect in the coming legislative session. Representatives from the hosting organizations will also take the opportunity to thank Kingston for his contributions to the welfare of the region during his service.

Registration is required for this event. For ticket information, please visit www.ValdostaChamber.com or contact Miranda Moore at (229) 247-8100 ext. 231.
