Modern Woodmen Cut Ribbon
by Chamber News on July 25th, 2014

The Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce and its Ambassadors welcomed the Valdosta chapter of Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, July 15. The ceremony took place on the front steps of the Barber House.  Financial Representative Tiffany Fletcher said, “The ceremony went phenomenally and I could not have been more pleased. I was very excited to meet the Ambassadors and see what else they were involved in. I found out about business in Valdosta that I never even knew existed. I consider the entire event to be a huge success.”

Modern Woodmen of America is America’s third largest fraternal benefits organization. It began in 1883 and initially provided assistance to widows and orphans. Since then, its member base and services have grown exponentially. Modern Woodmen currently has over 770,000 members to whom it provides community and financial services. The company offers youth education programs and service clubs in addition to its wide range of financial services including life insurance, retirement and estate planning. “We’re a 'planning for life' company,” said Fletcher. “We do a little bit of everything.”
