by Chamber News on July 25th, 2014

The Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber is working for you, offering your business a way to save big on your workers’ compensation premiums. DRUGS DON’T WORK in South Georgia implements policy development, supervisor training, employee education, employee assistance programs and drug testing for its members. In addition, members save 7.5 percent on workers’ compensation insurance premiums. Some members have saved as much as $20,000 per year. Participating businesses typically increase in productivity, safety, profitability, customer satisfaction, and employee morale. The project works with businesses of all sizes to lower the cost of workers’ compensation insurance and to ensure a drug-free workplace.

DRUGS DON’T WORK in South Georgia welcomes its newest partner, the Berrien County Chamber of Commerce. The chamber signed on as the ninth participating county, underscoring the regional effort to create better and more efficient workplaces. Crissy Staley, Executive Director of the Chamber and Development Authority, stated, “The Berrien County Chamber sees value in providing this service to our local employers. We believe it’s important for our businesses to be drug-free. We have partnered with the Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber before, and we are glad to extend the partnership.”
