Local Workers Honored at Chamber Breakfast
by Chamber News on May 14th, 2014

E-LEAD1One/Fresh Beginnings and First State Bank & Trust Company presented the Chamber’s 2014 World Class Employee Recognition Breakfast at the Rainwater Conference Center. Approximately 300 members of the business community were present to support the finalists, who were nominated for superior work ethic and commitment to excellence as exemplified by performance within their respected fields.

Keynote speaker and Valdosta State University Ambassador, Dr. Dacia Charlesworth, spoke on the meaning of rhetoric and how to retain quality employees through the development of a focused organizational message.

The 24 nominees and a description of their service to their organizations were announced with respect to their category: Small Business Employee, Small Business Supervisor, Large Business Employee, and Large Business Supervisor. Each nominee was judged on a scale of 12 characteristics: attendance, dependability, attitude, dedication, job knowledge, quality of work, judgment, critical thinking, relationship with others, community service, involvement, and professional development. Each category’s winner was selected by an independent panel of judges from Chamber membership.

The 2014 winners were Julee Lincoln of Azalea Health (Small Business Employee), Angela Vickers of Repeat Boutique (Small Business Supervisor), Thomas Manus of Wild Adventures (Large Business Employee), and Gerrell Aldridge of New Hire Solutions (Large Business Supervisor). Each winner received $1,500, a ticket package to Wild Adventures Theme Park, and various gifts from E-LEAD1One/Fresh Beginnings and First State Bank & Trust Company.
