Workshop to help businesses Go Green
by Chamber News on May 3rd, 2012

Go green and save green—it’s not a new concept, but with innovative programs and services available, your business may not be maximizing its energy savings.

The Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber is partnering with the Green Chamber of the South to provide local businesses with information and simple techniques for saving money from being more energy efficient. Energy Efficiency is Smart Business will be held May 17 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Courtyard Marriot.

Hear from John Noel with Energy & Environment, LLC, Steve O’Neil with Consensus Energy and other energy experts.

Local business owners will share how they’ve reduced their energy costs and how you can do the same.

“It really is a ‘smart’ decision to go green, many business owners are unaware of the money they can save by making simple changes,” said Sharon Jackson with South GA Solar Power. “They aren’t sure they have the time or resources to make the conversion and are often surprised by the immediate return on their investment.”

Registration is $10 for Chamber members and $20 for all others, continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. Visit www.ValdostaChamber.com or call 229.247.8100.
